What to do in a mental health crisis

If you are not receiving support from mental health services

Contact our telephone information line, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and a member of staff will be able to tell you where and how to get help. The number is 0800 731 2864.

If you are receiving support from mental health services

  • Your community mental health team [CMHT] can help you during the day, 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. Ask for your care co-ordinator or the person on duty.
  • Outside of these times, you can contact your local home treatment team.
  • Remember, if in doubt, contact our telephone information line.
