Get involved

We work with NHS staff and the public to encourage opportunities for local people to get involved and give their views on health services. There are a variety of ways in which you can influence the way we plan, develop and deliver our services in Southwark, and beyond.

The Southwark Local Involvement Network (LINk Southwark)

LINks have set up to help people influence or change the way their health and social care services are delivered. LINks are made up of individuals and community groups who work together to improve local services. The job of a LINk is to find out what people like and dislike about local services and work with the people who plan and run them to help make them better. This may involve talking directly to health care professionals about a service that is not being offered or suggesting ways that an existing service could be made better.

LINk Southwark is hosted by Cambridge House.  For further information please contact Link Southwark on 020 7358 7005 or email link@ch1889.org

Steering group meetings are open to all, and are held at Cambridge House.

Talk to your GP

Ask at your GP surgery how you can get involved.  All practices in Southwark now hold regular Patient Participation Groups.   Groups meet to discuss patient survey AGM, 2008results and how to improve services as well as what works well at their practice.  Some groups also bring together people with similar long term health conditions to discuss tips on how to manage.   All groups send patient representatives to the Locality Participation Groups who, in turn, send patient representatives to the Engagement and Patient Experience Sub Group, ensuring your views and experiences of services feed into the planning of local health services.

Contact your surgery about their Patient Participation Group or the Communications and Engagement team on 020 7525 7888 or ppi@southwarkpct.nhs.uk.
