The report presents a proposed service model and commissioning intentions for the local provision of HIV care & support across Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham going forward which commissioners wish to consult on with a wide range of local stakeholders including patients & public.
As part of the consultation process six public events targeted at stakeholders, patients and public are being held across LSL on the following dates: ·
For more information about any of these events and to book a place, please contact patricia.riley@lambethpct.nhs.uk.
Please note the data error on page 44 of the main report. Under KPIs for Service Coordination / Assessment (Provider: First Point- Metro). The sentence should read 'Service is contracted to deliver 1213 assessments annually (2010/11); 1219 assessments were completed in 2010/11'. Commissioners would like to apologise for this inaccuracy and would ask that any further queries / errors identified by readers be addressed through the consultation process and these will be noted and corrected in the final report.
We look forward to recieving your feedback and responses during the consultation process.
Every year we produce a report to outline how patients and members of the public have been in engaged in the decisions made commissioning health services in Southwark. A copy of our latest report can be downloaded below.

LINks have set up to help people influence or change the way their health and social care services are delivered. LINks are made up of individuals and community groups who work together to improve local services. The job of a LINk is to find out what people like and dislike about local services and work with the people who plan and run them to help make them better. This may involve talking directly to health care professionals about a service that is not being offered or suggesting ways that an existing service could be made better.
LINk Southwark is hosted by Cambridge House. For further information please contact Link Southwark on 020 7358 7005 or email link@ch1889.org
Steering group meetings are open to all, and are held at Cambridge House.

The Engagement and Patient Experience Sub Group (EPEG) has been set up as a sub group of the Southwark Clinical Commissioning Committee. Its role is to monitor and act on patient experience information ensuring that it informs commissioning decisions (decisions about how we organise local health services), making recommendations to the Commitee. Membership includes patients from Locality Participation Groups, the Local Involvement Network, Community Action Southwark and the Forum for Equality and Human Rights in Southwark.

Ask at your GP surgery how you can get involved. All practices in Southwark now hold regular Patient Participation Groups. Groups meet to discuss patient survey
results and how to improve services as well as what works well at their practice. Some groups also bring together people with similar long term health conditions to discuss tips on how to manage. All groups send patient representatives to the Locality Participation Groups who, in turn, send patient representatives to the Engagement and Patient Experience Sub Group, ensuring your views and experiences of services feed into the planning of local health services.
Contact your surgery about their Patient Participation Group or the Communications and Engagement team on 020 7525 7888 or ppi@southwarkpct.nhs.uk.
