Health Promotion Training

We are the NHS health promotion training specialists; our aim is to improve health and reduce health inequalities by working in close partnership with NHS, statutory and voluntary sectors to provide health promotion professional development expertise and support.

Training, learning and information

The health and social care world is an ever changing environment which means that if you intend to stay in the field, you need to equip yourself with the tools to adapt with emerging demands.

The health promotion training and learning programme for 2011/12 has been designed to support you with this challenge by providing courses and programmes that meet your personal, local and national health improvement and health promotion priorities.

The courses in the training brochure have been designed to support the development of your skills, knowledge and confidence so that you are better able to:

• Meet the requirements in your direct and/or local enhanced services (DES/LES)
• Meet the requirements of your knowledge and skills frameworks (KSF)
• Enhance your health promotion skills Develop your Health Trainers’ skills
• Involve clients and patients in service improvement such as the quality and outcomes framework (QOF), or low income scheme (LIS)
