1. The ‘You're Welcome’ young-people-friendly standards should be fully implemented across primary care, reproductive and sexual health services and GUM services for Southwark residents.
2. Clinics, practices, Health First and youth workers should raise awareness of the C-Card free condom scheme among sexually-active young people in Southwark in order to increase coverage and uptake.
3. Links between the reproductive and sexual health services (including genitourinary medicine - GUM) and the Teenage Pregnancy Unit outreach workers need to be further enhanced.
4. Sex and relationships education (SRE) across the borough needs to be better coordinated and should involve school nurses and sexual health clinic staff in delivering mock clinics and outreach work to young people.
5. Access for young people to free emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) in pharmacies in Southwark needs to be increased as a matter of urgency. Ideally it should be available in all pharmacies. This will require a step-change in resources.
